A mature resident is needed for a central Brighton/Hove comfortable double room in top- floor Brunswick Place prime location. Well-equipped flat close to sea, between Western Rd & St Anne's Well Park & approximately halfway between Brighton and Hove Town Halls. Very light, top floor central flat. Galley kitchen & bathroom.
The area is popular & has good bars & restaurants & supermarkets close by. The sea is a few minutes’ walk to the south & St Anne's Well Park with its tennis courts is a few minutes’ walk to the north. Buses on Western Rd. close by give easy contact to the rest of the town.
Bedroom : east facing but with blackout curtains because it can be bright in the mornings. It is generally quiet, approx. 10.8 sq metres. £ 600 per month if resident for 6 months or more but if between 3 -6 months, or if working from home the rent is £630 A short-term resident of 3-6 months is welcome but still need to clean up after themselves & if less than 3 months, the rent will be negotiated. The damage protection deposit is £400 refundable at end of tenancy if there is no damage apart from normal wear.
Residents must be non-smokers, clean & be considerate to others. Work and family commitments of the other residents may mean that any resident may be on their own for periods of time. This is not guaranteed but it probable & so it is unlikely to suit anyone new to town and relying on flatmates for company. There are currently 2 residents, a Mexican engineer & an English ex-journalist now care worker. Interests include yoga, aikido & VR. It is a top-floor flat so applicants need to be able to cope with stairs & have enough common sense to realise that it is unsuitable for heavy equipment such as weightlifting or other equipment that needs a concrete floor. Gas, electricity, council tax, water and Wi-Fi bills are paid by the landlord. The bedroom has a double bed with mattress topper & mattress protector (other bedding to be supplied by resident.) Double bed but single occupancy & desk, chair, wardrobe, cupboard, chest of drawers, bedside tables, lamps & extra hanging rail. The current residents are good, considerate people & it is really important that the new resident is the same. Currently there is no cleaner so residents must do their own cleaning or pay someone else to do it for them.
