Description

It's better to have an empty room than someone who is not easy to live with or who wants the central heating turned up high just for them during weekdays Mature sensible woman wanted to share central top-floor flat.
Comfortable large room, single occupancy, with plenty of storage in well-equipped central flat. Prime location in Brunswick just off Western Rd. The sea is at the end of the road- a few minutes walk to the south. St Anne's Well Park with its tennis courts is a few minutes walk to the north & good cafes & bars close by. Approx. midway between Churchill Square & Hove Town Hall. Very light & dkylights in the hall to open & ensure it is never too warm in summer. Top floor so residents must be fit Plenty of stairs but worth the climb. It takes about a week to get used to it. 2 women live here. The owner may stay if needed ( repairs etc ) Work commitments of the other residents mean that the resident of this room must be self-sufficient & able to spend time on their own . Must be non-smoker . The flat is central but is generally quiet. So unfortunately it would not be right for someone new to town & reliant on flatmates for company.
The two women who live here are both good, considerate people.
The new resident must be the same, that means : must have common sense, be reliable & trustworthy, show consideration to others & do their part to keep the flat clean or pay someone else to clean. (It is unsuitable for anyone who wants to grow vegetables in the shared areas or who wants to haul up the stairs large amounts of heavy equipment which should be stored on a concrete floor - strange but previous residents did both)
One of the current residents is an English care worker and is a widely-travelled ex-journalist. The other resident is a Chinese manager.
The house is 200 years old, the floor is uneven & the floorboards may creak but it's a good place to be Please don't ask to view if you smoke or are likely to leave others to clean up after you. Kitchen utensils are provided. The bed has a mattress topper & mattress protector Residents need to provide the rest of their own bedding personal effects shown in the photos such as books, will be removed. The furniture is single bed, very large cupboard, wardrobe, desk, chair small chest of drawers, medium chest of drawers, blanket box, noticeboard, shelving, extra clothes rail. The minimum let is 6 months but because of the landlord's commitments in February, 8 months or longer would be a far more attractive proposition. The rent is £600 a month. If working from home the rent will be £630 per month The rent includes bills. but please don't ask to view you if you smoke
