Description
Available from 13th August. Small double bedroom - £650 per month. Bills are £146 including council tax, energy, water, and broadband.
About the flat
Built into the eaves of a communal building, this cosy and well insulated flat is just a stone's throw away from Hove Seafront, and is close to George St, the Big Tesco, and bus stops to central Brighton.
Although best suited to the shorter among us (hi!), tall people have lived here happily, despite the odd head bonk during their calibration phase.
We have a teeny little balcony which feels luxurious (in the summer you can dry laundry OUTSIDE), and a communal front and back garden.
Speaking of laundry, we have a washing machine!! It lives in the kitchen near the sink.
There is a bath but regrettably not a shower. I have adapted and I am certain you can too 🙏
Although it's a small flat, my soon to be ex-flatmate (💔), but still very dear and lovely friend (❤️) and I have lived here together harmoneously thanks to communication, compromise, flexibility, and respect for each other's boundaries.
About the room
With its cosy low sloped ceilings, this room is on the smaller side, but can fit a small double (pictured), or regular double if you are happy with slightly less floor space.
To counteract this, you'll have shelf space in the living room, and priority access to the mysterious crawl space which wraps around the side of the building (used primarily for storage, not crawling).
This bedroom, like the living-room, is east-facing and gets lots of gorgeous morning light.
I think we'll enjoy living together if
You enjoy socialising and having friends round from time to time, but prioritise peace and wellbeing (and sleep!) and the need for space and downtime.
You're neurospicy or are good friends with someone who is.
You're any flavour of creative, and like the idea of hanging out together doing our respective creative things.
You value being considerate and communicative, and are open to working collaboratively to maintain a clean and happy home.
You value empathy, flexibility, boundaries, and nuance.
