Description
We are looking for a new housemate for our beautiful house in the Poets Corner area of Hove.
Who we are:
We’re 4 friendly and considerate women aged 35-40. We all have our own work/life things going on, but also enjoy eating, chatting or watching tv together every now and then, or going for walks to the beach. Our shared interests include live music / festivals, wellness stuff (yoga/meditation/fitness) and learning languages. We are all sociable but this isn’t a party house. We sometimes have friends to stay, but everyone is thoughtful and we always check-in with each other before anything like this.
Who we’re looking for:
We’d ideally like you to be someone we can get to know and hang out with as well as living with! But we are obviously respectful of people’s boundaries and space. When you reply, please tell us a little bit about yourself! What do you do? What are your hobbies? What is your current living situation and why are you looking for somewhere?
What is the room like:
The room is a medium sized double which is currently unfurnished. It is on the second floor and gets beautiful sunshine and lots of light. It’s a good sized room that currently has space for a large double bed, a chest of drawers, a big bookshelf and a small desk. The house itself also has a separate office/dining room space (as well as a lounge).
What’s the location like:
The house is very close to the Hove shopping area of George Street, a 10 minute walk from Hove station and very close to bus links across the city. It is 10 minutes from a big Tesco supermarket and 15 minutes from a retail park with a TK Maxx and Lidl. There are lots of nice pubs in the area. The beach is a 10/15 minute walk and the Hove seafront is beautiful and peaceful (amazing sunsets!). Central Brighton is about a 20 minute bus ride from the house.
How much does it cost:
Rent will be £590 and bills come to about £100 a month. Water is about £80 every 3 months when we’re sent a bill. The deposit is £692, which would be returned upon moving out.
When is it available:
The room will be available from sometime in January (February at the very latest) although the exact date is TBC and we may require some flexibility on this. The current housemates are intending to stay until the tenancy is up at the end of August but a short term arrangement is also an option.
Please send us a message if you’re interested! Let us know who you are and what you’re looking for from a house. We’ll be looking to do viewings in the evenings during the week as soon as possible.
We look forward to hearing from you!!
