Description
I'm looking for a new housemate to replace my pal who’s moving in with their partner in January.
The housemates:
You’ll be sharing with me (she/her) and my dog, Daisy, who is an ex-racing greyhound.
I’m a queer woman working in a 9-5 mostly from home, with a few trips into London each month. Most of the time when I’m not working, I’m walking Daisy, at the pub with pals, doing something crafty or watching TV (currently rewatching Gossip Girl). I’m progressive and care deeply about social inequalities. Daisy is a very sweet girl who loves cuddles and sleeps most of the day! She doesn’t bark (although she does whine when she wants a cuddle!) or jump up. She is allowed on the sofa but doesn’t go upstairs.
I’ve tried to make the house into a home and I think there’s a nice relaxed vibe to the house. Ideally you’re someone who is laid-back, fun and sociable, but no pressure if you’d prefer to chill in your room. I’d like to share with someone who has a similar outlook to mine, is friendly and communicative. I often have friends for craft club or dinner. No couples, sorry.
The house:
It’s a small terraced house with two bedrooms and a decked garden. It has a comfy L-shaped sofa which turns into a sofa-bed for hosting people. The kitchen / dining area is open plan with a dishwasher, washing machine and pulley clothes airer. There’s street parking in zone R (no wait list).
The bedroom:
The bedroom is at the back of the house so is very quiet. It can come furnished or unfurnished, depending on your preference. It currently has a king bed. The bedroom has lots of built in storage and a black out blind. Its £625 a month including all bills, including council tax.
Location:
It’s off Portland road in Aldrington. There’s a handy co-op at the end of the road and plenty of pubs and cafs nearby. There’s good bus routes from the bottom of the road going into town regularly. It’s a 10 min walk to Aldrington train station, 20 min walk to Portslade station or a 25 min walk to Hove station. It’s a 10/15 min walk to the seafront. There’s a few nice parks around, it’s very near Stoneham park, Davis park and Wish park.
The room is available from early January, but I’m not in a rush! I’d like to find the right person. If you're interested, please drop me a message telling me a bit about yourself and we'll arrange a time for you to come and see house and meet me and Daisy.
