Description
Good size, south facing double room overlooking a garden. Is currently furnished with a double bed, TV unit with TV and firestick, desk, chair, lamp, side table, shoe rack, laundry basket and towel rail.
The room has a small wardrobe for clothes and some shelves and access to the eaves for storing bulkier items.
There is a separate shower room downstairs that you'd have use of as we have our own bathroom upstairs in the loft conversion. There's also a separate fridge freezer and larder in the kitchen that you can use for food and drinks.
The garden is the main reason we moved into the house its a lovely sunny, quiet, south facing space where we get a lot of birds visiting, some foxes, squirrels and the odd frog. We have a pond with goldfish and it has a big decking area outside the back door, a large patio, a planted area with banana plants, fig tree and some big tropical palms and at the back of the garden there is a sunked firepit along with an outside toilet and kitchen. The summer house is still to be renovated inside so its currently outside storage for cushions and garden furniture.
Location wise, its about 10mins to Aldrington station, its right on the 5 bus route and the 5A and 5B go from the nearby Coop under 5mins walk away. Theres also the 3X bus which goes to the University just up the hill in Hangleton. Portslade station is about 15-20mins walk and you can walk to the seafront in around 20mins.
Its non permit parking on the street. We also have a drive and don't own our own car so a car could be parked there when we're not needing the space ourselves.
Bills and fast fibre internet is included in the rent but subject to normal use of water and heating and any material rate hikes that come along, as that seems to be more of a thing these days.
Me and Emma are married, we both met in a houseshare in Hove and have been together ever since. We also have a small rescue dog called Amber who's very quiet and easy going unless you're a cat, squirrel or fox. She is very greedy so she will take keen interest in you when you're cooking or eating.
Me and Emma are used to sharing with others and have been hosting foreign students for over a year now but as those can be a bit spotty and vary in how long they stay we are looking at getting in a lodger to make use of the larger spare room in the house for a longer period.
Me and Emma typically work from home 3 days a week and commute the other two so weeknights are mostly about having dinner and then watching an episode of something before bed. We enjoy sharing meals with people we live with if thats something that they also like. We are omnivores so tend to eat a mix of vegetarian, meat and fish meals and we eat foods from all over the world.
Weekends we like the outdoors, meeting people for a drink or something to eat and we both love dancing to drum and bass or going to the local festivals in town like Great Escape, Psyche Fest or Mutations.
We both enjoy travelling, have lived in a motorhome going through southern europe for 5 months and we're keen scuba divers so we've gone through a lot of south east asia exploring the waters and islands in that part of the world.
