Hi,
I'm looking for a lodger for my spare double room. I'm a live-in landlord.
The Important Bits First:
1. Short-Term Let: The flat is on the market to be sold. There's no sale agreed or any date in view, but because of this, I'm only looking for a short-term let (around 3-6 months). This would suit someone on a work contract or in between places. I'll be totally open and give as much warning as possible (at least two months) once a sale is agreed.
2. The Dog: I have a small, friendly puppy. This is a non-negotiable - you must be a genuine dog person and comfortable living with an energetic young dog.
3. The Stairs: The flat is on the top floor (4th floor) and there's no lift, so you'll need to be okay with the stairs!
The Room: It's a good-sized double room that's south-facing, so it gets loads of sun (when it's out!). It comes unfurnished, but there is a built-in cupboard and some shelves for storage. There’s a sofa bed already there you're welcome to use if you don't have your own bed.
The Flat: It's a clean, modern flat with all the usual stuff - Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washing machine, etc. We'd share the kitchen, bathroom, and living area. There's also a balcony, which is a real sun trap.
About Me: I'm in my 30s, working in tech, working from home. I like to keep active and am vegetarian. I'm pretty relaxed and tidy, and looking for someone similar.
Location: The flat is on Wilbury Road, between George Street and Palmiera Square. Just a 15 min walk to Hove station and close to the big Tesco.
The Details:
● Rent: £650 per month
● Bills: All included
● Deposit: £500
● Available from: 11th December
About You: I'm looking for a friendly, tidy professional (non-smoker) who is easy-going and good at keeping the place clean.
