Small double in cozy flat 5 min walk to the sea

Hey, my name is Lily! My flatmate is moving out so I'm looking for someone to take over her room & share the flat with me and my cat.

The flat is in Hove - 10 min walk to Hove train station, 20 min walk into town centre, bus stop close by and a 5 min walk to the sea :)

I’ve owned the flat for a few years and have been slowly doing bits of DIY/ redecorating (time and money allowing). It’s definitely a bit of a work in progress and has its quirks but it’s a really cosy homely space.

The room is a bright small double with a built in wardrobe and cupboard with shelves. There's space for a double bed and some additional small furniture. The floor is painted white wooden floorboards, and I’m planning to add some extra shelving for storage. It comes unfurnished (apart from curtains and a lampshade).

The flat has a large living room, separate kitchen (with small bench and table), bathroom with shower over bath and a small laundry cupboard. The living room has a big sofa that’s great for films (excuse the temporary makeshift projector screen) and a dining area.

A bit about me - I'm quite creative (love drawing, painting etc) and love films & music. I work full time (roughly 9-5) in social care - mostly out and about or in the office so rarely work from home. My job is pretty demanding so home is my sanctuary.

I like to keep the flat tidy and peaceful (i'm a bit scatty myself so not over the top about it - more just keeping it comfortable and nice to live in). I'm sociable and enjoy having people over or going to the pub etc but also really value my own space.

Looking for a flatmate who is respectful, communicates openly (i’m neurodivergent so that’s important to me), and is up for hanging out occasionally - e. g sharing a meal or watching something. Even better if you’re into watching films, doing creative things and/or listening to records together!

Ps I have a cat and she’s older and a bit shy - mostly sticks close to me and will likely keep her distance at first but warms up over time!
