An older lady with reduced short-term memory is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She does a lot of things herself, and is well-supported by family, but would appreciate some help organizing day-to-day life and managing the flat including some food shopping, some cooking, socialising and ad hoc practical help, errands and outings.

The accommodation on offer is a double bedroom, furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe, bedside tables, table/desk and chair. There is a shared use of a bathroom and shower room, plus shared use of the kitchen and living room.

The property is in a wonderful location, just moments from the seafront, close to shops, and just 15 minutes’ walk from Hove Station.

The lady is friendly and enjoys a chat. She also enjoys swimming in the sea, walking and social activities. She has friendly neighbours and regularly sees friends and family. She will occasionally read The Guardian.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time (up to 15 hours per week in a mix of practical help plus a little company) to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the lady’s interests.
