Description
Hi! I’m looking for a new flatmate to share my spacious two-bedroom flat in central Hove, available from the beginning of November - maybe before.
The flat
The flat is on the fifth floor of a residential block on Eaton Road, right next to Sussex County Cricket Ground.
It’s a really spacious two-bed flat with a large entrance hallway, modern kitchen, shared bathroom and a big open-plan living/dining room with plenty of space to relax.
There’s also a separate utility room with washing machine.
One of my favourite features is the shared rooftop terrace, which has seating and great views across Hove and towards the sea - particularly nice in the summer.
Location-wise, it’s around a 5-10 minute walk from Hove Lawns and the beach, with plenty of shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs/bars just a few minutes away.
The room
The room available is the larger of the two bedrooms and is a genuinely large double, with loads of floor space and a big window giving it plenty of natural light.
The room comes furnished, including:
* large wardrobe
* chest of drawers
* shelving unit
* two bedside tables
* double bed frame
You’ll just need to provide your own mattress.
There’s also plenty of space for a proper desk/workspace if you occasionally work from home.
Rent
£800 per month + bills.
Bills are split equally between the two of us and are approximately £200-£225 each per month, covering council tax, gas/electricity, water, broadband and TV licence.
About me
I’m George, 39, originally from Essex and I’ve lived in the flat for nearly three years. I work in the travel industry and work from home.
I’m pretty sociable and enjoy going out, travelling, the gym and seeing friends, but I also really enjoy having a chilled home. I’m looking for someone where the flat feels like a home rather than two strangers simply renting rooms from each other, while obviously still having our own lives and space.
I have a boyfriend who lives elsewhere and occasionally stays over at weekends.
Who I’m looking for
Ideally someone around 25-45, male or female, who’s friendly, considerate, clean/tidy and easy to live with.
As I work from home, I’d ideally like to live with someone who doesn’t work from home full-time, just so we’re not both in the flat working all day every day. Hybrid working is absolutely fine.
If you think we might be a good fit, drop me a message with a little bit about yourself and we can arrange a chat/viewing.
