RE: Extra large bedroom/studio room in very attractive shared flat with communal garden, kitchen & bathroom in central Hove.
Hi there,
Photos to follow shortly (sorry).
The room I'm renting out in the flat shared with me, is effectively a large studio room to accommodate a bed and sitting room area as well as desk and bookshelves etc without it feeling cramped. It has a great view over the love and wild communal garden (I am the only one to have shown an interest in using / 'caring' for it).
This is a ground floor flat in a sought after street in central Hove, 10 mins walk from the sea. The property is in a converted semi-detached, Victorian house, with 11ft ceilings and cornicing. Both my bedroom (east facing) and your bedroom (west facing) have very large bay windows and your bedroom is painted white, is very light and in good decorative condition.
Both rooms are very large - 20ft + square - so we each have a very spacious studio room bigger than any studio flat I have seen on the market (there is no living room). Your room looks out on to gardens at the back and is very quiet. The entire flat has been re-wired so there are a lot of plug sockets throughout. There is a separate kitchen with seating area (made out of a church pew), granite worktops, and integrated appliances including washing machine, dishwasher, double oven and filtered water on tap. The whole flat has gas fired central heating and has recently been carpeted. There is no bath but there is a wet room with a heated floor and large 'rainmaker' walk in shower.
The tenancy is in my name and love it here and plan to stay here for the long term. I would like to rent out out this room to someone for the medium/long term all being well. There is a useful laundry/clothes maid to hang washing out of the way in the hallway. Outside there is access to a large communal garden (not directly accessed from the flat) where there is a communal lockable shed in the garden that also has a lockable wooden gate and is very secure. Parking is easy in the street as there is lots of space and only a short waiting list for a permit - Zone N.
The room is unfurnished - so you can really make it your own and its a great offer if like me, you've had stuff in storage or have lots of your own furniture. This room really is massive and very light and airy, there's so much you could do with it. The rent covers the fluctuating bills (heating etc) and so there are no nasty surprises in winter.
Viewings are after 8pm (I work weekends) so if you are interested, get in touch and tell me a bit about yourself. The most important thing of all, is that we would get on well as well as paying the bills and being respectful tenants in this very attractive, lovingly restored, peaceful flat.
About me: I'm a 33 year old prof female fairly new to Brighton/Hove so whilst I am busy and like my own space, would hope for a good relationship with a flatmate who I could perhaps go to the pub with / share a bottle of wine etc. Things I'm into: sustainability, cooking, yoga, gardening/permaculture films/cinema and vintage things.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Claire
