Description
Two spacious double rooms (one with en-suite, one with incredible sea views) available in a very special Kemptown flat.
The flat has tonnes of character and everything that you might need. I think that the photos speak for themselves but a few of my favourite features include the working fireplace in the lounge, sea views, massive hallway with cupboards and space to store bikes/dry washing, tall ceilings, washing machine and dishwasher, big characterful kitchen with space for a dining table and chairs, beautiful view from the back bedrooms, plenty of hot water, secure building with lift, brilliant location with bus stop right outside… I could go on! I was sold as soon as I first walked in.
You will be living with me, Kathryn, a 34 year old primary school teacher. I have lived happily in the flat for a year with two lovely housemates who are both leaving to live with their partners. I think I’m nice to live with (if you don’t mind a bit of singing!) and like to keep the place clean and tidy. In my spare time I love drawing, seeing friends, tending to my houseplants and cycling along the seafront (pretty standard interests!). I’m a vegetarian and would ideally prefer not to live with a massive meat-eater, but it’s not a deal-breaker.
My current housemates and I have each treated the flat as a home rather than a place to stay and have enjoyed a calm, friendly and respectful living environment. I would like this continue and hope to find people who see the place as a retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and are able to contribute to the unique and homely feel of the flat.
I am seeking people with all the usual traits someone looks for in a housemate. The main thing obviously is that we get along! You will also need to be a professional with a guarantor (or be able to pay your rent upfront for the year).
The flat comes unfurnished and a lot of the furniture in the pictures belongs to the current housemates. So if you have furniture that’s cool.
The bills (at the moment!) come in at around £150 each per month (that includes energy, internet and council tax). Water is on top of that. The flat is in band D for council tax.
Bedroom 1 with en-suite is £800 pcm (plus bills) and bedroom 2 with sea view is £775 pcm (plus bills).
No couples please.
I would like to arrange viewings for tomorrow/this weekend if possible. Please get in touch with some information about yourself if you are interested.
Thanks!
