One double bedroom

Large and sunny double room available in a very convenient and picturesque area of Lewes. We are a married couple living in our family home where adult daughters have now left. They and their partners and children do visit occasionally. We have one friendly dog and two old cats.

The house is a few minutes walk from buses to Falmer/Brighton/Ringmer/Plumpton and about 20 minutes walk to the train station. We are 150 metres from the footpath onto the Downs.

It's a large 4 bedroom house with a big garden and lovely views onto the Downs. The large kitchen/diner and conservatory is shared. There is good wifi, a washing machine, outside line and dryer and free on-road parking. There is an additional spare room which is available for occasional use of visitors at no extra cost.

There is almost exclusive use of the family bathroom. This has a bath, shower, toilet, hand basin, radiator and extractor fan.
The room is a nice size and has a double bed, an open shelves unit with a hanging rail, built-in book shelf and lovely bay window. Additional furniture such as a desk, chair, drawers, side table can be utilised if wanted.

One of us works at the University of Sussex in a finance department, and the other is a counsellor and support worker in Brighton and Lewes. We are out at different times, but both also work from home 20-40% of the time. We are looking for a self sufficient lodger who enjoys the peace and quiet of the house and area. We are mainly vegetarian and not drinkers, so preferably looking for a lodger who suits this.
