Comfortable room in happy house in Lewes.

This is the beginning of a search for a good match, long term house share compatible spirit Not just a room to rent.
It's a happy home with an easy walk to station and town centre, containing also one well behaved Collie cross dog, (who does bark enthusiastically to announce visitors and who will know if you are the housemate we are looking for).

The house isn't huge, so if you have a lot of belongings it may not work for you. Could well suit a Masters student. Current occupants include an international development student (23), a creative writer and producer, and myself - mother, artist, multi faceted human being.

The house is lived in, and not a show house, slowly getting more chic than shabby but it's work in progress! Pictures need updating but give the general impression.
Mostly orderly and clean, even cleaner if you participate, occasionally chaotic but never for long.

There is a shared bathroom with shower upstairs, a shower and WC downstairs and a separate upstairs loo. Kitchen is shared, small but usually works in a strange harmonious dance.

I've hosted lots of lovely students and enjoy that, but am hoping now for responsible adults who are interested in staying longer, and don't need supervision!

The garden is lovely and we do have dedicated parking., (quite something in Lewes), wireless internet and most things you need. I don't have a dishwasher or a tumble dryer on principle. Depending on schedules people usually do their own thing around food, which can range from raw vegan to burgers and chips or exotic international cuisine - but it's nice to spontaneously eat together sometimes.

Only one House Rule other than basic respect and consideration for others, which is 'Please dont complain inwardly !". Talk to me. If I can fix something I will, if not - please help!

The house is clean but not clinically so. It's work in progress . It's not a hotel, and I'm not going to be your mum, (or the ONLY cleaner) ideally we all look out for each other.

It all works best when everyone has a purpose and is happy with their chosen work. It's a work hard, play nice kind of a house where it's ok 4 U 2 B U.

Five minutes walk from station, five minutes walk to leisure centre, swimming pool, ten minutes walk to centre of town.

Once a genuine interest is established a WhatsApp video call probably works to show you around and get an idea.

I have had to put the rent up as energy prices are rising and if everyone is at home all the time it's just necessary.
