Description
Big double room in friendly house, available from 6th June
****Ideal location for Falmer plus access to the Downs, easy bus to vibrant Brighton seaside and town centre *****
- Looking for somewhere comfortable, easy going, clean and spacious to call home?
Good transport links to Brighton centre, frequent buses, station / universities an easy walk.. friendly people?
Want to be within easy reach of vibrant Brighton and the seafront but have the benefits of a great garden, beautiful countryside /bike rides/ adventure on your doorstep?!
-Looking for a respectful, creative household, where you can have your own space and also have a cuppa /glass of wine and a chat?
Then you might like our place!
We are a creative, outdoorsy family - a couple in our late thirties, we run a local community garden, forest school and veg project, like a dance on a friday night and nothing better than relaxing by the fire in the garden in the evenings. We have a laid back teenage son who loves making things, camping, mixing music (headphones) skating, films and finding adventure.
We have 2 cats and some fish and some amazing wildlife here including birds, newts and butterflies!
We are a veggie friendly household (do have meat eaters here too)
We have a great room for rent in our family house, it is BIG (pictures dont show how big), has a double bed, desk, built in cupboard and a sofa to relax on. It has views of the hills and gets lots of light. The area is peaceful :) The walk to bus stop is less than ten mins. Stanmer is a nice walk away.
We are used to sharing so will give you space and be respectful but also be up for being sociable, often in the garden as it's such a lovely space to hang out - we like pizza nights and having fire and music on a friday night! You will be welcome to join.
The kitchen is ample and in the bathroom we have a good deep bath and shower. Downstairs there’s an extra loo. There’s good central heating, WiFi, a washing machine and you’ll have your own fridge.
Free on street parking as well and space to store a bike.
We have a fairly predictable routine during the week, of work, volunteering, school (Gardener/forest school leader/art teacher).
We tend to enjoy music and films, be sociable in the garden/ go out on adventures with friends at weekends.
We both work part time, so there is often someone home, working on one project or another, in either the garden or the studio.
We are looking for a likeminded working professional or an ambitious student, who has places to go, a good work routine and a positive outlook. We’d prefer someone who is self sufficient, has their own stuff going on and goes out and about. We do like the odd cuppa and chat in the kitchen too! We seek a housemate who knows how to share, who’ll clean up after themselves, be considerate, respect the place as a home, be friendly, communicative and straight forward. You can expect the same from us!
Re Covid
We are a fully vaccinated household, testing regularly for work would want our housemate to be vaccinated, and to be responsive to any changing situations/elevated risks to help keep us all safe and healthy.
If this sounds like it could work for you get in touch..
