Description
A cosy and clean single room with desk in a peaceful house, with garden, free on-street parking (Zone D), and a place to lock your bike, near Brighton University's Moulsecoomb campus and Sussex University. Lovely views, with the beautiful Downs right across the road. You’ll be sharing with the friendly, welcoming owner (me) and one other lodger. Bills and fast WIFI included.
Available from 25th March. Short let considered, or for three months initially, with the possibility to extend.
Being near the universities and Downs, the room is ideal for a postgraduate student, a mature student, a university staff member, or a nature lover. (Not suitable for people with lots of kitchen equipment, or other things that don't fit into their bedroom). You're a considerate non-smoker, who'll happily say hello and have a chat, but also be doing your own thing. You're happy to clear up after yourself, keep your room clean, and keep noise minimal after 22.30 during the week, when you're usually in bed by 23:00 or midnight (not a night owl). Ideally, you work or study outside the home at least 2-3 days a week, and are pescetarian, vegetarian, or don't cook much meat at home.
The room is cosy and comfortable, with a 45 x 80cm desk and adjustable chair. There's a sturdy clothes rail, with a shelf above (fits a large suitcase) and drawers beneath, two under-bed drawers, additional drawers and cupboards, and hooks on the back of the door, useful for hoodies, jackets, scarves and bags.
The house has a shower (no bath), a gorgeous view, a multi-zoned garden with a pond and berry bush, sunny decking and a patio. It's lovely in the summer.
Beautiful hills with sea views are right across the road. It's a 2-minute walk to the corner shop and post office, pub with beer garden, and the #49 bus into central Brighton, or a short walk down the hill to Lewes Road, for many more buses (the #25 runs all night), the Moulsecoomb Campus & university library, and Moulsecoomb train station (not mainline) linking to central Brighton, Falmer and Lewes.
I’m a friendly pescetarian, normally working office hours from home. I like to get out several nights a week, and at the weekend. I enjoy singing, parkruns, and getting outside when the weather’s nice.
If you'd like to find out more, please get in touch, telling me a bit about yourself.
