Description
Please read my preferences and the following carefully before applying -
I have a double room for rent (single occupancy) with a lovely view over the South Downs towards Lewes.
The house is an older property (council tax band C) with lots of character and period features. It's kept tidy and clean and is relatively quiet, perfect for relaxing in at the end of the day - although my home is on a reasonably busy road, the room I am looking to rent is at the rear of the property and is very quiet (the front-facing bedroom windows are sound proofed). It has a double bed, antique pine chest of drawers, mirror, large built-in wardrobe, antique French desk and bookcase, lamp, and a 30-inch flat-screen wall-mounted smart t. v (free sat with Bluetooth headphones).
My home is fully centrally heated, but also has two open fire places which are occasionally lit used during the depths of winter. Apart from your bedroom, you are welcome to use and relax in the rooms within my home ie. dining room, lounge, bathroom, separate toilet, and the kitchen.
Broadband is available in all rooms and there are plenty of electrical sockets.
I have a large garden, which you are welcome to enjoy (and tend if you have the urge), at the end of which there is parking. available for one car.
I have really enjoyed sharing my home with lodgers in the past. Apart from the consideration and respect we showed each other, we also shared an interest in minimal plastic usage and recycling, which I am definitely looking to continue. We also made time within our busy lives to occasionally walk together, enjoy a glass of wine, pizza, crossword, and when life allowed the odd game of badminton.
Like most people, I appreciate a degree of personal space, but I cannot share my home with someone who has no interest in interacting, so please bare this in mind, also when I ask for non-smoking, non-vaping applicants only, it really does mean that.
A previous long-term housemate will be happy to answer any questions you may have by email.
If after reading the above you feel my home may suit your needs you are welcome to contact me via Spareroom - please write a little about yourself, your profession; the reason for wanting to move, and how long you are looking to stay. If I think you are suitable I will suggest meeting for a chat prior to viewing.
Many thanks for reading the above, and making a note of my preferences.
I look forward to hearing from you.
