Description
Double room available in a 1st floor flat next to Preston Park train station, sharing kitchen and bathroom with one person (that's me).
Current flatmate is looking to move out in Jan. We'll then have to start a new tenancy agreement, which the letting agents insist be a minimum of 6 months. Looks like a guarantor may be needed, but can discuss this with letting agents if needed, there may be an option of paying a few months in advance or something.
I'm looking for a professional who looks after the place, cleans up after themself, won't be destroying kitchenware. I've lived with students in the past and I'm basically looking for the opposite now.
Also, if you're the kind of person who likes to hang out with flatmates, have a chat while cooking or sit down together and watch something, that'd be a bonus.
I'd say the bedroom is a fairly good size, obviously that'll depend on your personal needs but both rooms are around the same size and I've never needed more space in mine.
The kitchen is long, with a dining table by a large window at the end. I sometimes make big meals with a friend, so can confirm there's space for two people to use the kitchen at once. My current flatmate isn't taking much in the way of kitchenware so there should be plenty for both of us if you don't have much of your own.
The bathroom has a bath and a decent shower, and a couple of cabinets above and below the sink give a good amount of storage space.
All rooms are double glazed, the place has a decent gas boiler that's always been reliable.
As for location, the walk to the station couldn't really be much shorter. It's also a half hour walk to a few supermarkets, but there's a Sainsburys Local less than 10 mins walk away, and 10 mins the other way is a 24 hour Tesco Express. It's 10 mins walk to Preston Park if you fancy going somewhere green.
Now a bit about me. I'm working for Royal Mail, late shift so I'm basically out all evening on weekdays. When I'm not working, I try to get out and see people. That could be a gig, pub quiz, open mic night etc. At home I love making big meals (happy to share a roast, curry etc) or if I'm too tired I might just watch something and let my brain switch off.
If this sounds like your kind of thing, or if you have any questions, contact me and we'll talk
