Seeking lodger to share friendly comfortable home beside village and fields but close to shops and buses.

Double room available from September. Sunny, with window overlooking garden, Roman blinds. Double bed. Desk, chair, wardrobe, feature fireplace. White painted walls, camel colour carpet, rug, radiator.

Shared bathroom with bath & shower, cupboard for toiletries. Downstairs washroom with toilet and handbasin. Big bright spacious sitting room with large bay window, 2 big sofas, 2 reading lights. Cosy efficient wood burning stove and gas central heating. Good sized kitchen with dishwasher, coffee machine, combi microwave, fan oven etc. High speed broadband. Bills like water, energy, council tax are included; we all buy and share household stuff like loo paper as needed.

Semi-detached house with elegant brickwork. Washing machine in outside laundry room, clothes lines. Gardens with lawn, wildflowers, organic veg beds. Tables and seating. Lots of birds and birdsong. Free parking on lay-by beside the house. Quiet lane with few cars passing.

A short stroll to the bus stop with regular direct buses to Lewes and Brighton. A few minutes drive to train stations in Glynde and Lewes with direct connections to London, Brighton, Eastbourne etc. Ringmer has a range of useful local shops including mini-supermarket with post office, butcher, bakery, 2 cafes, fish & chips, 2 pubs, hairdresser, garage and petrol station. Lots of local countryside walks including onto South Downs hills. (The house is near the beginning of the lane, not far along as shown on the map.)

I'm an easy-going busy eco-researcher. Quiet but sociable. Existing housemates are considerate and creative professionals/students. Vegan or vegetarian preferred but some meat eating also ok. My gentle 10 year old female black lab will welcome you.
