Room to let in vegan household

Furnished room to let in vegan household in Saltdean. The room has a double bed, wardrobe, drawers and fridge-freezer.

I share my life and house with two large rescue puppies (six months and seven months) and three elderly rescue cats. One is an Irish Wolfhound and is growing by the minute! I have always had rescue Irish Wolfhounds and have, very sadly, lost two in the last couple of months.

The location of my house is particularly peaceful (apart from the puppies!) and backs onto five miles of countryside. There is a bus stop outside my house with very regular buses to Brighton. A friend who lives abroad calls Saltdean a ‘hidden gem’ and I agree. We have an amazing beach (like Brighton beach, our beach is pebbles, not sand), the newly-renovated Saltdean Lido, many local shops, an abundance of great cafes and loads of beautiful walks. We are also very close to the quirkiness of Brighton but not right in it.

I have been vegan for seventeen years and anyone living here must adhere strictly to the vegan lifestyle.

The room to let has its own front door but the kitchen and bathroom are shared. In reality, I have my own bathroom so you would have the bathroom to yourself, unless there are visitors.

The ideal person would be vegan, an animal-lover, friendly, easygoing and communicative. I have a busy social life (mostly daytimes) and I enjoy me-time but also like to live in a happy, friendly atmosphere and environment.
