Description
About the space
Live in landlady + super friendly 12 year old cat. Current occupancy is me + 1 male on a shorter term let, who works full time.
Available is the larger double room which comes with a double bed and mattress.
The small single room has currently been let out up until January 2025.
All bills are included in rent.
Length of stay can be negotiated and monthly cost broken down into day rates (£19-£24 per night). If your stay is 3+ weeks or more, I will ask for the full monthly amount to accommodate bills.
Small single room details:
I'm looking for short/temporary lodgers to stay in the small single light green room from time to time. The room has 1 large window with a blind, bedding, towels, a large shelf, a clothes rail and drawers, and a plug / extension chord.
Location
The conquest hospital is about a 10-15 minute walk to the bus stop, then a 20-30 minute bus ride to the hospital.
- The train and St Leonard's high street is about a 17 minute walk from home. The closest supermarket is about a 15 minute walk away.
About the landlady:
I work from home full time and am known to engage in the odd creative painting project. I have a professional full time job that is demanding and then a part time artist business on the side. I have a small office room that I work from in order to keep the shared living room space free for all.
There is a large garden space out front with a studio shed which I have plans for turning into a garden/allotment space. You are more than welcome to use and get involved however at the moment it's a work in progress. There is also a safe space for you to store a bike if needed.
There is off road parking outside on the main road as well as 1, maybe 2 parking spaces on the property. I don't drive so there's often space available to park.
Final points to consider:
- I am easy going but mindful about who I share my space with and ensuring its the right fit. I have had 1 permanent lodger and 4 short-term let experiences so far and the experience has been positive. Please be willing to share an overview of your lifestyle with me so I can gain a sense for compatibility.
- I prefer to live privately and in harmony, I have no issue sharing my space but keeping communal areas clean and tidy is a must, it keeps us all happy.
- Because I work from home I'm looking for someone who is in full-time employment and not another who also works from home.
- I am currently not open to taking on people on Universal Credit.
- My cat (Bobby) is super special to me and whoever lives here needs to good with cats and accommodate his nervous disposition. He can be quite needy!
- Bobby is not compatible with other free roaming pets unfortunately.
I hope that's enough information to start with and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
