I am looking for lodger for our large en-suite bedroom and to share our home. I have two children, who live at the property half of the time. The large property has three floors. The ground floor is where I and the children have bedrooms. The 1st floor is a very large open plan kitchen, dining room, living room scenario. The 2nd floor consists of two private en-suite bedrooms. So there is a real feeling of privacy and peace and quiet on the 2nd floor. The other bedroom on the second floor is occupied by a lovely 25 year old Spanish female who helps to care for the children some of the time. Clearly, this is a particular and unique ‘house share’ scenario which may not suit all so please take this into consideration.
I am a professional musician and sometimes work away on tour.
The house is set behind private gates in a courtyard behind an 18 century manor house in stunning parkland just north of Brighton. The parkland, woods, walking, nature etc. is stunning and the South Downs Way is a 30 minute walk from the house. There is a train station 17 minutes walk which has regular trains to Brighton and Lewes. There is an hourly bus service into Brighton 2 minutes from our door. The village itself is very small but boasts a cafe, garden centre, restaurant, farm shop, horse stables, museum, and varied interesting eco projects and similar in the surroundings. It really is a uniquely beautiful place with a very friendly and welcoming community. It would suit someone who loves nature and a bit of peace and quiet but who wants quick access into Brighton. It is a 15 minute drive into central Brighton.
