Description
Gorgeous loft room with exposed beams in a very special place.
Pook Hill Barn is an 18th century threshing barn converted in the 2000's, by the south downs at the end of a private lane there is ample space inside and out.
The unique cruck frame construction allows for impressively high ceilings in the living room which is kept cosy by the log burning fire.
The shared living space has a pool table, sofas, large dining table and huge kitchen.
The loft room is upstairs and has direct access to a bathroom, which is mainly for use by the occupant of this room is accessible to other residents and house guests.
The room is large enough to have a desk, sofa etc.. as well as double or king sized bed and other bedroom furniture. There is a small built in wardrobe.
There is a garden and patio both front and back and a pond somewhere under all the weed.
The Garden is a bit wild and there will be some upkeep to do during spring and summer, but the proximity to nature and the view of the sky at night is well worth it.
Located across the A27 from Charleston farmhouse and one field away from Middle farm and very close to Glyndebourne opera House.
We are a 10 minute drive to Firle, 15 min to Lewes and 30mins to Brighton or Eastbourne.
There is a good cycle path between Lewes and Eastbourne and the nearest train stations are Glynde and Berwick and an irregular bus service.

Parking space
Fire pit
BBQ
Raised beds for growing veg
Shed for Bike storage

We are friendly and sociable, occasionally cooking together sharing a bottle of wine.
We're looking for someone easy going and friendly who will join us in a drink or two, have a game of pool, watch a movie together, take turns to cook, be respectful of the shared space etc.
Things to consider before you book a viewing.
The pictures are of the room furnished but the room will be offered unfurnished when available.
The Barn is quite isolated down a long country lane, it is possible to get to on bike but with a vehicle it would be much easier.
Heating oil is expensive so we keep costs down by firing up the wood burner, However logs are not included in the rent.
Bills included to a realistic monthly household threshold but any excess is split between the household.
Council tax is Band G and roughly £58 pcm per person on top of the Rent.
Couples will be consider with adjustments to the rent tbc.
