Welcome to the Sycamore House! We are 3 young professionals looking for like-minded housemates who like to socialise as well as respect each other's private down-time! We like to keep the house clean and tidy, and are looking for housemates with the same principles on household etiquette :)

We like to come home to relax after work, and so a family environment is what you will find here. We have all enjoyed living here and Peter has been a great landlord, always quick to respond if we have any queries.

What the landlord says:
The double bedroom for single occupancy and single room are in a modern well appointed five bedroom town house near the town centre. The house and landlord are licensed by Brentwood Council. All bedrooms have modern furniture, a good quality bed, a home safe, a USB charger point and a wash basin. The shared facilities include two bathrooms, a fitted kitchen that includes a dishwasher and a coin operated tumble dryer. The comfortable lounge has a flat screen TV, Sky plus HD, and Blue ray DVD providing connection to Iplayer and YouTube etc. There is a rear garden with a decked area, parking for two cars on the drive and convenient street parking. Included in the rent is a weekly clean of the shared areas and WiFi connection to High Speed Broadband.

Each tenant has an individual contract with the landlord. We are looking for non-smoking tenants and the contract includes a no smoking clause that applies to both the house and grounds. All rooms in the house, are let for single occupancy only. The house is maintained to a very high standard with rooms being subject to inspection and maintenance between lettings. A house keeper attends weekly to clean the shared areas, mow the lawn, test the fire alarm and service kitchen appliances ie cleaning the soap powder tray and clearing the tumble dryer filter etc.

The house tends to attract hard working young professional people who want to come home to a relaxing friendly environment and who enjoy sharing. Existing tenants are encouraged to meet prospective tenants and are consulted by the landlord before any new tenant is chosen. They generally look for people who they think will show consideration for their fellow house mates, people who know how to share. Over the years many new and lasting friendships have been made between people living in this house. The house is rather cosmopolitan with a variety of British and other European Nationalities as tenants.
