Double bedroom available in 3 bed house

We are looking for a lodger to share our quiet, clean 3 bedroom house in Chelmsford. Me and my partner currently live here with our little Border Terrier dog. We have had lodgers share the house for 3 years now and are advertising as our most recent lodger just moved on.

The house is really well situated if you’re working in Chelmsford, with the 42 bus going into town from right outside. The area is quiet and green and lovely to live in! There’s nearby pubs, parks and a lovely little farm shop/ coffee shop 5 minutes walk away.

The double room is available immediately and initially we would like to sign a 6-month contract, which can then be extended on a monthly rolling basis. While you’re here you’d have access to the living room, kitchen, the spare room/ office when it is free (neither of us work from home during the week), the garden, and free on street parking. There’s one shared bathroom with a bath/shower. Bills are £100 per month, which includes gas and electric, water, council tax, internet and a weekly cleaner!

You do need to get on well with dogs- she’s very cuddly! But you don’t need to take any responsibility for the dog, as we have a dog sitter who comes regularly and we take her to kennels if we are going away.

I work in the NHS full time as a trainee psychiatrist. My partner is a GP in the NHS. I work fairly regularly on the weekends and we are both busy people who are out quite a lot- but when we’re around we like making shared dinners, hanging out and going for walks. We’re open to new housemates- whether you’re working, between jobs, a student or anything else, get in touch and we’d love to meet you. We are LGBTQ+ so you may see a couple of rainbows around the house!

We are happy to host single females, or we have previously lived with couples, and would very open to having a couple live here again. However we are currently unable to host single males.
