Hi! We’re a couple (41, 39) working in Film & Media with a toddler and a large, friendly dog. I’m a Creatures and Virtual Production Supervisor, and my partner is a Film Journalist. We love films, board games, video games, escape rooms, and traveling. Our home has a calm and peaceful vibe, always kept neat and tidy, and we are respectful of your privacy, and we expect our lodger to help maintain this peaceful environment.
About the home: It’s a 3-bed house with a recently painted, fully furnished room available, complete with a mini fridge and lovely views of the backfield. Lodgers share the guest toilet and upstairs shower, which helps avoid queues and keeps things more private for the lodger. The kitchen is just a year old, equipped with modern Samsung appliances, and there’s additional storage in the garage. The other room is let out by a 38-year-old parliamentary analyst who is respectful, tidy, and friendly. He works from home and is very quiet and you wouldn’t even know he’s there.
We prefer a mature, respectful lodger and, while it’s ideal if you work outside the house during the day, working from home is not a deal breaker for us. We’re open to occasional get-togethers but also value our personal time.
We also love animals and might consider your pet, depending on their compatibility with our dog, who’s wary of larger dogs and chases cats.
Our home is in a beautiful area with forests, fields, and a park with tennis courts and an outdoor gym right in front of the house. Public transport is convenient, with a bus stop just a minute’s walk away, and Hainault station (Central Line) only an 8-minute bus ride. You can also walk to Grange Hill station in just 12 minutes.
We’ve arranged for a cleaner to come in occasionally for deep cleaning as needed, and I personally keep the kitchen, living room, and upstairs bathroom clean. Lodgers only need to care about their own rooms and facilities, keeping chores minimal.
