Hi! I'm looking to rent out a double bedroom in my quiet house, which is in a safe neighbourhood and backs onto Castle Park.

About you:
I'm looking for a like-minded professional female housemate that is respectful of other people and their belongings. Someone looking for a homely, friendly and happy living environment.

This is not a party house, but I am sociable. Your space and privacy are a given, as is a home that you can relax in, in peace and quiet. But equally if you fancy it, I'm up for a glass of wine and a good old natter - or a few drinks in town. :-)

About me:
I work from home a fair bit with my day job, and freelance some evenings and weekends within digital marketing, but when I'm not working I like to go to gigs (comedy and music), cinema, galleries, to go for walks, beach trips etc. I'm not a night owl or a party animal so I'm looking for a chilled out housemate with a similar vibe that wants a cosy, clean and calm home rather than just a place to crash and throw socials.

Your room
The room is furnished with a double bed (with a super comfy Dormeo memory foam topper), chest of drawers, bedside table, full-length mirror, built-in floor to ceiling wardrobe, a desk, chair and a smart TV with its own Virgin TV box. The room has a large window that lets in lots of natural light.

Location:
The house is very central. It takes 10 mins to walk to the city centre, 5 minutes to walk to Leisure World (Gym, Spa, sports hall, swimming pool) and about 20 mins to walk to North Station which has direct trains to London. The house is right next to Castle Park, so you have lovely walks and cycle routes quite literally on your doorstop. I absolutely love living here, the perks of the city close by, but a lovely friendly and quiet neighbourhood. Your nearest supermarkets are Waitrose, Lidl and Aldi (just around the corner) - then you've got Tesco (8min drive) and Asda Superstores (9min drive).

Communal:

Kitchen/ Diner
The kitchen has a large dining table, a range cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, nespresso coffee machine, microwave, kettle, shared fridge freezer and a back door that leads out to the patio and back garden.

Living room
This is a lovely light and airy room, with a big window to the front and double doors out on to the back garden (which gets the sun all day!). There are 2 sofas (and a doggy bed) in this room, a large smart TV, Virgin TV box, Virgin Fibre broadband hub, DVD player and Wii games console that you are welcome to use. There is another (smaller) dining table in this room so there is always space at meal time and a log burner for extra cosiness in the winter.

Downstairs toilet and sink.

Upstairs bathroom with bath, walk-in shower, toilet and sink.

Rent & Bills:
The rent would cover your room and communal use of the living room, kitchen/diner, downstairs cloakroom, upstairs bathroom, garden and an off-road parking space.

Electricity
Water
Broadband
TV (in the living room)

Other bits and bobs:
The house is strictly no-smoking and I have a dog. She is very friendly, and whilst she is a breed that doesn't shed fur, she does expect regular cuddles. So your clothes will be fur free, but you'll need to be ok with her loitering nearby, hoping for a cuddle. ☺️

This house is my home and I love having a calm, clean and uncluttered space. I'd be looking to share with someone that likes the same.
