Description
Hi, my name's Jonathan and I'm looking to share my house with interesting, considerate folks.
I work as a yoga and meditation teacher. I'm interested in music and play guitar and sing in a folk band, though I'm a respectful person and considerate about noise! I also like to draw and paint when I get the chance. I've recently signed up with a local dog rescue charity as a foster carer. So it would be useful to know your position on potentially having a dog in the house.
The house is a spacious three-bed mid-terrace with a 70ft garden, in which I have a home studio for yoga classes, drawing/painting and recording music. The garden is a work in progress at present, though getting there in recent months - we have built a large raised bed and have some veggies and herbs for the house growing. Note the picture is from before the studio was built.
The accommodation:
The double room is presently occupied by Sam (m), who is a teaching assistant.
The single room is available. Recommended viewing as it's difficult to photograph accurately. A plan for the room is available in the photos. Basic furniture is provided and we can adjust the furnishings to some extent to suit. Presently there's a single bed, desk, chair, bookshelf and the room itself has a large cupboard/wardrobe.
The communal space includes:
A large living room with corner sofa and TV.
Family bathroom
Kitchen/diner with patio doors to the garden.
Out-buildings, one of which has been converted to a utility room with space for washing and drying clothes, washing machine and tumble-dryer.; and an outside WC.
The house has high-speed cable broadband which hits just over 100Mb/s. Robust wireless access available - and I've also installed a wired connection in each room (I used to be a techie).
On the west side of Colchester, good access to A12/A120, local shops/ takeaways and larger supermarkets near by.
If you're getting in touch please let me know a little about yourself, hobbies interests and so on - if you don't already have a spareroom profile filled out with these things. You would be surprised how many people don't bother make a basic friendly introduction, or even read this ad. Successful application will be based on initial introduction as above, a casual interview to introduce ourselves and establish suitability for all parties and the provision of two references.
I look forward to hearing from you!
