Hi Everyone,
In brief, i have a self contained stand alone one bedroom open plan studio annexe set amongst the beautiful countryside in Great Bentley, 15 mins by car to either Colchester or Clacton town. However, as it's quite remote you would 100% need a vehicle to get about, do your shopping etc. I have a large old farm house which is my main family home and within my grounds (just under 3rd of an acre) i have the beautiful annexe located next to the main house with its own seperate entrance via the side garden gate. I am happy to share our beautiful garden with you, within reason of course, however the annexe does have its own little shingled patio area directly outside it with a small ratten table and 2 chair set for your personal use plus there is a parking area at the front of the annexe/driveway which we can offer a maximum of upto 3 car spaces for your own personal use overall. however, if you were to have a special occasion or birthday or something and had family and friends over for a bbq outside or something (for example) i actually have space for 10 cars on our drive (including our own car spaces) (max and bumper to bumper) should the need arise. however, i don't expect this to be on a regular occasion of course as don't want the front of the property used as a car park for 10 cars all the time, i'm sure you can appreciate that being the family home too.
the annexe runs off all electric, has a small under counter style water boiler/heater so you always have hot water available for your sink/kitchen area. there is a separate toilet and shower which is also electric but operates separately to the under counter style water heater so you don't run out of hot water at all. the main space is open plan with king size bed and mattress (only 14 months old too) a fitted large wall mirror, a fabric style wardrobe unit and a white long boy chest of drawers, a box storage which is also a sit on bench which matches the bed for end of the bed, tv cabinet, blinds and internet. it also has a metal framed "proper" 2 seater sofa bed which is also a proper "large two seater sofa too" for guests or friends to stay if required, a small fridge freezer and an open plan kitchen all in one space albeit cosy and enough space albeit not exceptionally spacious nor very large but perfect for 2 adults as i have mainly housed couples alike who have found it just ideal, especially for a temporary short term period approx 12 months, which i have had in the past too. the cost is £900pm (willing to negotiate foe the perfect match/lodger(s) though) which includes all utilities, water, electric, wifi, and a portion of the council tax and maintenance yearly charge of the cesspit which is emptied twice a year as that's the toilet system and needs a service once a year too. plus it's a premium rate due to the rural location and exceptionally large and beautiful garden grounds we are happy for you to also enjoy at your leisure, multiple parking spaces allocated to you at all times plus their isn't many annexes around let alone available atm located in such a stunning village, rural grounds and surroundings but yet only 15 mins in the car either way to our local towns of clacton and/or colchester.
i am looking for a lodger(s) NOT tenants as i've just been through a long and grisly divorce and have the property on the market currently for sale and as a result now a single mum of 3 and had to go onto benefits as a result . however its been on the market for almost one year already and still not sold so i would expect, so long as everyone got along with each over and you were both great people to live next door too with no issues, it could be available for upto a further 12 months but i think that would be maximum (well fingers crossed and hopefully i sell it that is). it has wonderful landscape views in every direction and surrounded by working harvest fields owned by the local farmers and the sun sets are so beautiful on a warm evening that we even have tourists pull up in their cars just to take pictures of them.
