A beautiful double room is available now in this new-build modern house. The room is well-lit and furnished with a comfortable double bed, desk and chair, etc, and has wide countryside views. Your bathroom next to the room is shared* with one other nice, considerate person, though there's a 2nd bathroom downstairs. Shared use of the sunny kitchen-dining room, 'living room space' and washing machine. There’s a large garden to enjoy, also off-road parking and a bike shed available.

It's generally peaceful here, kept clean and tidy, and we respect each other’s needs for working and resting undisturbed.

The house is in Littlebury, a village 3 miles from Saffron Walden, Chesterford Research Park and railway stations; 4.5 miles from Hinxton EBI Genome Campus; 14 miles south of Cambridge (thus not convenient for students, sorry).

Best suited to a reliable, professional person – long-term rental is preferred as I go away a lot in the winter.
Rent includes all bills and fast Wi-Fi, with Council tax tbc. The price of £625pcm is based on preferably less than full-time occupancy/usage, though we can discuss. Notice is 21 days, 28 days in winter.
A short-term stay of e. g. 1-2 months is also possible and may be subject to a moderate weekly price increase, to be discussed.

As for myself, I’m an artist, biologist and natural history enthusiast. I intend to be away for most of the winter. I've been a responsible landlord for 15 years.
