En-suite annex

Polstead is a lovely village and community in a beautiful area with lots of enchanting walks. The annex of School Cottage is an old brick building which has an en-suite shower and WC, overlooking a country garden, next to Polstead Pond. The room is big enough to be comfortable living space with desk and arm chair, as well as a bedroom. The heating is electric although there is a wood stove. Apart from electricity, all bills are included. For electricity there will be a meter in the kitchen which can be read to provide a monthly charge. The shared kitchen is a few steps away and though there is no microwave, it would be possible to have one in the annex if wanted. Some furniture in the photos may change. You would provide your own bedding.

I am a practical person: a forester, a gardener, a woodworker and builder. But I’m slowing down and spend much time at home and in the garden. I like to cook and I’m fairly social as well, so occasionally I have friends round. If I’m planning making supper for friends I will make this known in advance. I see all this as compatible with having a lodger because the space is so well laid out, with simple boundaries for privacy and yet a lovely place to share. There would be an initial 6 month limit to the let. References would be ideal. If there is a decent response to this ad I hope to interview maybe at the end of the month.
