Description
This large, spacious room just 10 minutes walk from Prittlewell station, is available from 1st December 2025.
Earlier is possible, if you are okay with ongoing works.
It has a double bed, bedside table, cabinet, two large wardrobes, two large shelves, fold down desk, folding chair, blackout curtains and a ceiling fan. There’s lots of floor space for yoga / floor routines.
The house is situated on a quiet street, with plenty of parking available. For anyone that prefers the added security and peace of mind that off-street parking brings, you can have the exclusive use of a parking space on the driveway for an additional £50 per month. This may suit doctors, nurses, and other hospital or similar workers who may be on call.
The hospital is very close by and the airport one stop away. Farmfoods is across the road and getting to Aldi is a literal walk in the park away.
The sizeable garden backs on to a green space, with trees that bring tranquil vibes. There is a large patio with garden furniture, a BBQ, and a greenhouse, if you have a green thumb.
There is a concept 2 rowing machine, a running machine, dumbbells, kettlebells and 500kg of Olympic weights available if you like working out (at your own risk). I am a cyclist and lifter. The shed has space for bike storage and there is keyed access to the side entrance.
The living / dining room has a wood / coal fire, for the potential of cosy winter evenings reading by the fire.
There is a bookcase, filled with classic books you can borrow.
The bathroom features a dedicated shower, with large separate bath, Japanese toilet and an anti-steam mirror with integrated Bluetooth speakers that you can play relaxing music from.
The kitchen includes use of fridge / freezer, microwave, air fryer, hob, oven and various other bit and bobs. There is a separate washing machine and tumble dryer for you to use, and filtered water strait from the tap.
The water mains were replaced in 2024, ensuring no lead is present, which is a something many of the homes in Southend cannot claim.
Priory Park, Victory Sports Ground and Jones Memorial Recreation Ground are a stones throw away.
Access to public rights of way in the country are also very close. There is a nice country walk to the Garon sports centre, for those who like to swim.
My favourite local features are the Korean Cafe in Priory Park, The Saxon King Pub and the local charity shop at the end of the road for random treasure.
The monthly rent covers the cost of all bills: gas/electricity, water, council tax, broadband (Vodafone Full Fibre 910) and TV license. I love and take pride in my home and I am always improving it.
