General advice for anyone when looking for a house share and some questions to ask

1. Does the room look like it's been furnished with old furniture from a second hand shop, if that's the best they can do before you move in imagine how little they will care when you're living there. Is the mattress good quality and hygienic.

2. Always ask about the house mates and who they are, some landlords will rent to anyone., they don't care and most agents won't have a clue. Ask. to pop back and meet some housemates, anyone proud of their tenants will always say yes.

3. Who is your point of contact, will it take weeks for something to get fixed after numerous unanswered phone calls via an uncaring agents or management company.

4. What's the age group in the house, does someone in their mid 20s really want to live with someone old enough to be their parents or a loved up / arguing couple.

Thank you for your time & interest. I hope I have been of help
