We are next to both walking and cycling tracks which take you down to the picturesque Blackwater Estuary with access to the stunning sea wall , turn right walking towards Maldon passing a hidden gem Goldhanger Beach and past the famous Osea Island on route Heybridge basin , Heybridge then Maldon or alternatively when you hit the sea wall turn off to the left towards Salcot and Mersea island in the opposite direction taking past Tollesbury Marina on route towards old Hall and Salcot creek onwards Gt Wigborough and the wildlife is fantastic along this section as you see very few people from old Hall onwards .
I’ve seen two different types of deer within half a mile on this section of sea wall as well as very large birds prey like Marsh Harriers and Kites , all sorts wading birds of The views over the estuary from here in either direction are stunning and so worth exploring.
If you like photography, wildlife ,cycling, walking , running , or just sitting and enjoying the countryside and all close by they you’ve found the place .
The bus route pick up point for Maldon , Colchester and Tiptree at one end of the garden as well .
