Double room in country house

Your room: Bright & clean large, furnished double room with double bed and country views. Built-in cupboard. Thermostatic radiator valve so you can set your own room temperature and a TV point for Free view. You can also have use of the upstairs study. The room is for single occupancy.

The house: 3 bed detached with 2 people sharing including one cat that is very shy and one well behaved small dog. The house has full gas central heating, double-glazing & Wi-Fi and is always warm. We have recently upgraded to fibre broadband with unlimited access. Downstairs it has a lounge with Sky and Freeview TV package and a lovely log stove for cold winter nights. Large kitchen with range cooker and open plan dining room. There are also 2 fridges, dishwasher, washing machine, freezer, and utility room.

Outside is a large garden with lawn, fruit trees, veg patch, patio, off-road parking for 4+ cars.

We keep chickens and horses outside.

The location: Very rural. You will need a car as we are not in a village or close to shops or pubs but local takeaways do deliver. There is a bus that stops right outside the house that goes to Tollesbury and Colchester. The area is beautiful. We are close to the sea and lots of lovely walks.

About you: I’m looking for a lodger who is sociable, professional, solvent and easygoing. We are a very sedate and quiet household. You can keep your own room as you wish and we have a cleaner for the common areas.
