About the room
We are looking for someone aged mid-30s to 50, to live with us in our three-story Victorian terrace. The room we have to offer is a double room with a desk, wardrobe, and shelves.
The house has a large galley kitchen, a living room, dining room, shower room, two toilets and a back garden. The house has all the typical appliances - a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven, et. All bills are included in the rent which will include a regular cleaner.
The house is in a quiet street, around a 10-minute walk from Southend Central, Southend Victoria, and Westcliff Stations. It is also a short walk to a big Sainsburies, the sea-front, the High Street and Cliff’s Pavilion. Basically, it’s in a super convenient location!
About us
We are a couple in our late 30s and early 40s, working 9-5 style office jobs. I work in the office most days but my partner Neil works slightly more from home. We have a shared office so we don’t take up space elsewhere in the house when we’re working. I like to cook and bake and Neil likes to eat the results. We both like to read and our favourite shows at the moment are Slow Horses and Silo. Neil is a Southend native but I’m from Scotland and I’ve travelled about a bit, with a stint living in Japan and then America.
The back garden isn’t much to look at right now, but we are planning to do some work over the winter to improve it and we have a nice outdoor sofa set ready for when that happens.
About you
We are looking for someone of a similar age, perhaps with some similar interests, though we don’t need someone who shares all the same interests.
