Description

Hello there, lovely reader! 👋 Thank you for stopping by and having a nosey at our humble abode. There’s a cosy room waiting to be filled by the right person, and we’d love to welcome you into our little household.

🛌 The Room
A spacious haven with a large mirrored double wardrobe (perfect for all your stylish bits and bobs), a comfy double bed, two bedside tables, a chair, and a bookshelf. Feel free to make it your own—whether that’s adding a splash of colour or rearranging the furniture to suit your vibe. I’m more than happy to lend a hand or the odd power tool 🔨 if you fancy a bit of DIY!

🏡 The Home
We’ve got a spare room on standby for visiting friends and family, and there’s a “remembrance canvas” by the front door where guests can leave a little doodle before they head off. I’m all about creative touches—each room has its own personality, so if you have ideas, share away! When I’m not rearranging décor, you’ll find me dabbling in music 🎶, tackling a book, or keeping fit.

If you work remotely or prefer the tranquillity of suburban life (but still like the option of zipping into Edinburgh now and then), this location could be spot on. The train station is just a 5 minute stroll away 🚆, with regular services into the city and beyond.

👥 About Us
We’re both laid-back and welcoming. I’m 22 and often work from home, with weekly trips into Edinburgh. Sam, 27, is a chef who commutes into the city most days, typically from 9:30 to 21:30. On those nights, I’ll cook and wait so we can eat together—usually in the living room, catching up on a TV series one episode at a time.

We both keep on top of tidying, so once a week I’ll dust, hoover, and clean the shared spaces. With respect to the communal areas, and general cleanliness it stays shiny all week. Family’s important to us: we both come from families of six, so we know how to live harmoniously with others.

Since we’ll be sharing space, it’s vital we all click and bring good energy into each other’s day. If there’s ever an issue we can help with, we’ll do our best to sort it. We’re more interested in finding the right fit than filling the room quickly. I’ll likely show you around first, then we can all meet—perhaps at a cosy coffee shop ☕ or something similar—just to see how we get on. After that, we’ll let you know if we think it’ll be a good match for everyone.

✅ Little Extras
1. We keep a shared calendar so everyone knows when someone’s away or if we’re expecting visitors. I normally travel to see my family around 6 times a year.
2. We’re well-versed in catering to special dietary needs. I’ve previously lived with a coeliac housemate, and Sam’s, well a fine dining chef. Speaking of which, she is popping by for a long weekend in early February, so you might even get to meet her!

If you’re friendly, considerate, and looking for a place you can truly call home, we’d be chuffed to hear from you. Can’t wait to hear from you! 🤗
