Looking for double room near Fountainbridge

I'm Silver. I work as a software engineer, after having graduated with a masters in informatics from the University of Edinburgh.

I'm looking for a place with a good cycling connection to or within walking distance of Fountainbridge/Lochrin.
Ideally I am looking for something under £900/mo.

I have been living in shared flats for the past 7 years in both Edinburgh and Bristol, so it's something I would like to keep doing; cooking together, gym trips, nights in playing cards or watching films, and nights out. Although I would like to make friends with flatmates, I also need space to myself. I like to keep a clean and tidy flat, and I think being open and respectful about everyone's needs in the flat/house is important.

I'm handy with DIY tools and a soldering iron, and like repairing everything from clothes to electronics. I'd like to bring a good rice cooker and a Switch with me. I also have a record player with plenty of records. I don't smoke/vape. I enjoy cycling a lot, and have recently got into bouldering too. Spending time outdoors is valuable to me, and I spend much of my spare time working on illustrations or sewing and learning Japanese.

I would like a room big enough to fit a double bed and nicely sized desk. I would only be working from home very occasionally, if at all.

If the option is open, then I am considering the idea of bringing two adult indoor cats with me - however, this is not a necessity, or something I have decided on yet.
