Description
Hey There!
I'm Alahna and I'm on the search for a new home with a few potential new friends of similar spirit.
Me - I'm a 32yo, full-time employed Fitness Instructor for a pretty luxurious health club. I'm originally from California and have lived in North/East London for 6 years. I am sadly leaving my lovely Haggerston home because my other two housemates are moving on and the landlady is likely to sell soon.
As a housemate, I'm a good balance of social and solitary. I have a very extroverted job, so at the end of a long work day I like to decompress on my own but then I'm up for a catch-up with the roomies over tea or cocktails (when the day calls for it). I have my own social life that I've created in London; however, I do enjoy living with other women (or very clean, tidy men/NBs) that I can call friends. Historically, my housemates and I respect each other's 'me time', but also occasionally host dinners or birthday parties and like go out to the pub together.
I also believe that a house isn't just a place you sleep, but it should be treated as a home and as a retreat from the crazy hustle and bustle of London life. Therefore, I do like to clean, tidy and decorate to keep a serene atmostphere for everyone in the house to enjoy.
Outside of the home, I like to experience all that life has to offer. I love to travel, spend time in nature, try amazing new bars and restaurants, hang out with my friends and I love a good summer day festival. Admittedly, I was a party-girl in my 20s but I don't have it in me anymore. I'm much more likely to go for a walk and listen to a podcast, or enjoy a boozy brunch and in bed by 10pm at most.
I'm Looking For - My current tenancy ends 25 May but I'm flexible on a move-in. Looking in Angel/ De Beauvoir/ Hoxton/ Haggerston/ Victoria Park… basically anywhere close to Regent’s Canal. I’m looking for a sunny room in a houseshare, but open to newer flats. Some access to outdoor space is a must. Good connection into Central London (I have to commute to London Bridge). Maximum 2 other flatmates and open to BuddyUps. Preferably flatmates are female-identifying.
I’m looking for a long-term home, rather than a stop gap.
