Description
I'm a friendly, professional and I come with a little dog, Scout, so you must love animals!
I live in lovely Kingsholm - I'm just 5 minutes walk from the hospital and around 10 to the rugby ground, bus/train station and Glos town centre. It's a great, safe area with lots of green space. There's a shared garden and plenty of free off road parking (first come, first serve).
THE ROOM: The room is fully furnished (bedding can be included). There's a decent sized built in wardrobe, some IKEA storage shelves, set of tall shelves, a small desk and chair and a little table (last pic is most up to date).
ME: My name is Hannah (she/her), I'm 36 and work in social media/comms. I like netball, wild swimming, podcasts, pub quizzing, DIY, house plants, travel, candles, eating out etc etc. I am very much into caring about the world and it's people (big on recycling and would expect the same from you). Aiming to use as little plastic as possible and always looking for ways to cut down (I get my milk delivered in glass and I'll provide Who Gives a Crap toilet paper). I eat mostly veggie but I'm not fussed about hard and fast food labels. I'm not a super, super tidy person (although, always striving) but really dislike rooms being dirty - I provide a full clean each week of communal areas but expect kitchen and bathroom to be maintained during the week and for you to chip in with taking out bins/recycling.
Outside of work, I’m home quite a lot but always up for exploring/eating/doing some kind of activity.
THE FLAT: I have been gradually renovating since moving in in 2017 and it’s finally done with a brand new bathroom, floors, kitchen fittings etc. This is a lovely, quiet flat (not silent(!)), filled with plants and lots of artwork. It’s very much my home, as opposed to a house share or student flat.
YOU: You must love dogs 🐶! I get on with most people but open minded, easygoing and progressive is important. Ideally, I’d like to find a lodger who is likeminded and wants to get to know one another. Lodging is different to house share as you are in someone’s home, so understanding that is important. We both need to feel comfortable being at home, both to chat and have space when needed.
Can offer a discount if you are looking for a Monday-Friday rent.
WHAT'S INCLUDED: All bills + council tax, Netflix, toilet paper, household cleaning products, broadband, Virgin TV. Access to washing machine, dishwasher, all utensils/kitchen equipment and all shared spaces, parking, private gardens, the love of a little dog :)
PLEASE NOTE: I work for a police force, so anyone who lives with me will need to provide their ID for police vetting - please do not enquire if this is a problem
Ideally I’m looking for a long term lodger but would look to start with a months agreement to work on a rolling basis.
