Homeshare Gloucestershire connects people looking for some company and practical support within the home (Householders) with those who would appreciate entering into homely accommodation at affordable rates (Sharers).
The Opportunity:
To share a home with a friendly, very independent and well-travelled older lady. She has a very friendly cat, so an animal lover is a must. The Sharer would ideally be a mature, friendly, positive and tidy person with an interest in gardening, travelling, stand up comedy, gardening, who would enjoy helping with general cleaning and gardening. Due to the location, own transport is essential. The Sharer would be expected to be in the property a minimum of three evenings per week as well as sleeping in the property every night. You’d have one day ‘off’ per week, as well as being able to go away every third weekend (if you wish). You can take up to five weeks of holiday/year (pro-rata).
The House:
The house is located in the middle of Moreton in Marsh, within walking distance of shops, cafes, supermarket and train station. A large double bedrooom with shared bathroom is available for the right person, with shared use of the lounge, kitchen and garden. There is good internet connectivity at the property.
The Homeshare Agreement:
You would pay a monthly facilitation fee to Homeshare Gloucestershire for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do not pay any rent to the Householder, but will be required to make a small monthly contribution to council tax (25%) and household bills.
As part of this low cost living arrangement, you would give only 10 hours of your time each week in lieu of rent. On an average week, you'd spend the 10 hours offering helping with cleaning/tidying up and some light gardening, as well as providing some company to the Householder.
This is a position advertised on behalf of the Householder. We carry out reference checks and an enhanced DBS check prior to introducing you to the Householder.
