Double Room in 5-bedroom House in Ebley

Quiet (most of the time!) house with lounge and separate TV room, large kitchen/diner, sole use of bathroom across the hall from your room (for the majority of the year - at other times we occasionally have family staying). Zen garden with pond (very low maintenance). The house is located near the canal, within a 30 minute walk from Stroud town centre.

My husband and I have a second home in Oxford and therefore we do not live in the house all the time. However, when we do stay, we like to socialise and often will come with our grown-up children for a sleep-over.

Utilities, broadband, council tax included in rent. Weekly cleaner also included.
Kitchen is fitted with American Fridge-Freezer with plumbed in ice-maker and water dispenser. Washing machine and tumble dryer in utility room. Double oven, microwave, dishwasher.

We are looking for a friendly single person or couple. Ideally, you should be mature, tidy, and easygoing! If you like cooking, that would be a bonus. We are omnivorous but we are trying to eat healthily. Also, we are atheists. The kitchen acts as the heart of the home, so when we are around, we are often to be found having a glass of wine and sitting at the kitchen table or watching a film in the upstairs lounge. There is also a downstairs lounge which is part of the communal space.

I have just finished a PhD in history and my husband works in banking. We have been married for just over three years. Both previously divorced. We like to watch movies, play poker, and entertain. I would say that on average, we spend 4 days a week in Stroud, but this is variable. My husband is an avid golfer, and he plays golf in Minchinhampton and in Oxford.
