En-suite room in lovely quiet area

I have a nice en-suite basement room available in my small, quirky 19th-century cottage in a very quiet road with nice views, 12 minutes’ walk from Stroud town centre and super-close to the lovely Daisy Bank and Heavens. Gorgeous country walks on the doorstep.

It’s a single room due to the layout but has room for a desk and armchair. The bedroom is east-facing so gets the morning sun. You’d have your own en-suite toilet and shower and can share with me and my cat the cosy living room, the small kitchen and the sunny south/west facing garden and patio.

Preferably left-of-centre/Green-minded female, considerate and clean and tidy, independent but interested in sharing occasional meals, maybe socialising. I mainly WFH so ideally someone who works regular hours elsewhere during the day. MUST genuinely love cats (not just tolerate them) as I have a gorgeous Siamese, and really want her to feel that the new person is a feline friend.

Parking is a couple of minutes’ walk away, on a nearby road.

Smoking is OK in the garden; I do smoke myself but not in the main house.
The shared washing machine is in your room (in a cupboard) so I'd need to come into your room once or twice a week, but would ask you first.

NB The pictures show two beds but one is a foldaway guest bed, which wouldn’t normally be there.
