Cosy Furnished Double Room with Own Bathroom

Fully furnished cosy double room with your own private bathroom & toilet. All bills included.
Communal kitchen, open plan living/dining room, garden & garage for storage. Located halfway between Bristol and Bath, with easy access to the countryside. Would be sharing with a friendly, quiet couple (who own the house). We have two cats.

THE ROOM:
Your room is bright and comfortable and receives lots of morning sun (fully equipped with blinds if you’re not a morning person!). Furnished with a raised double bed, chest of drawers, large wardrobe, mirror and bedside drawers. There is space to include a desk / TV if you have one.

You have your own private bathroom with shower + bath, situated right next to your room (Photos of bathroom don't show the fixed glass shower screen and overhead shower which have been installed).
Most of your things will have to fit in your room (under bed, above wardrobe), but we can also make space in the garage if needed.

THE HOUSE:
Situated on a quiet cul-de-sac and friendly neighbourhood. There is always parking available, normally right outside the house. You’ll have use of our shared open plan kitchen, dining and living area, as well as the garden.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, grill, fan oven, microwave, fridge & freezer and all the utensils you need. We share the fridge and freezer and cupboards. And of course, fast wifi and a washing machine for you to use, but no TV.

THE AREA:
Not too far to Bristol city centre if you have a car (20 min drive to Cabot Circus), yet far away enough to escape the hectic hustle and bustle of city life! Also about 25 minutes from Bath if you want a change of scenery.
If you enjoy walks and being in nature, the countryside is easily accessible. We’re very close to the Bristol Bath Cycle Path and have nice running routes nearby.
There are bus stops along the main road with routes that take you into the city. There is a co op a 5 min walk away for basic groceries and pub just down the road, a Post Office and Library a 10 minute walk away, but also large Asda, M&S, Lidl and Aldi a 3–5 minute drive away.
Excellent cheap 24h gym very close by in a retail park with a cinema, bowling alley, and restaurants.
Many excellent gastro pubs within a 10-minute drive!

THE HOUSEMATES:
We're Alice and Gavin - we've been house sharing for over a decade since our uni days! So since we got this house, we've continued having a housemate. We are vets but have also started our own business and work from home on most days. We’re friendly, easy going and keep pretty busy with work. We don't have people around often and if we do, they don't stay late on weeknights.
We’d love to get to know you, but are also happy to keep to ourselves if you’d like your own space. We go to bed early on weekdays and also rise quite early! We are quiet and keep the house clean and tidy.
We both stay active and love the outdoors, especially wild swimming, camping. Alice also enjoys running, gymming, pole dancing, silks and the occasional bouldering! Gavin is very entrepreneurial and started our business. He's from Malaysia, but has lived in the UK for 11 years. He’s also found a new passion in gardening since getting the house.
We have two very cute cats called Squid and Inky, who you'll get to know.

Who we think would suit this room:
We feel someone at a similar stage of life would be most comfortable here - a working individual (not someone working from home as we don't really have the space) who has a daily routine that we can complement.
Having a car would likely be easier as we're not the closest to the city centre.
While we have cats, you don't have to like them... you just can't be allergic to them!
