Description
If you are a mature vegetarian woman, please read on, because the room in my flat is suitable for an older vegetarian or vegan woman looking for long-term accommodation.
Bedroom, shared living room and small separate kitchen, with washing machine. The bathroom would be for you and visitors only. The bedroom has a double bed with two large drawers, as well as a small chest of drawers and a bedside. The wardrobe has extra storage space.
The room is in a second floor Barking Riverside flat with a distant view of the Thames. Ten minutes walk to Barking Riverside station (Suffragette Line overground) or frequent buses to Barking shops and station in less than 20 minutes. Fifteen minutes to Barking Riverside pier for Thames Clipper service - commutable to Woolwich, Greenwich, Canary Wharf, and central London piers. A pharmacy and a Co-op supermarket are very close.
There are walks along the Thames foreshore, a community garden, and various community activities locally. Barking Riverside is a rapidly changing area. It’s a good area for cycling and there's bike storage on the ground floor.
This isn’t a party flat. I am a retired teacher, and I stay here to be near my baby grandson in east London, and to go to lots of theatre - and then I go away for a few months. If you took this room you’d need to be happy living on your own about the half the time. It could be a quiet place to study or wfh, with good broadband.
