Description
🗺️📍East London: Barking Riverside, best of both worlds with riverside nature walks & just a 40 minute commute from the square mile. Easy access to Essex via C2C and car. Shared living room, open plan kitchen & balcony.
🏡🚿 Spacious furnished en-suite room available in a 2-bed brand new flat located in a peaceful neighborhood with excellent transport links. King size bed with dresser, built in wardrobe with full length mirror, and bedside tables. Gated allocated parking spot included. Enclosed secure bike storage at the flat and spacious storage at the local station, Barking Riverside. There’s a piano too that you’re welcome to use if you’re a musician, though I don’t play.
🙋♀️👩🎓 About me: 32-year-old PhD student (Psychology, KCL). In my free time I enjoy theatre, cinema & London exploration. I value a healthy lifestyle and spend a lot of my time at the gym, or on short breaks hiking and feeling connected to nature.
💻🏋️♀️ Amenities: Residents' coworking lounge (free) & a local coworking space (£1-2/day). Gym on-site (free) & leisure centre with classes/pool 20 mins away by bus (£32/month for students).
🚊⛴️ Transport: 15-min walk to Barking Riverside Pier (Thames Clipper to London) & 10-min walk to Overground Station (quick 20-min to Fenchurch St/Aldgate/Bank).
💼🚗 Commute: 30-40 mins to Fenchurch Street, 40 mins to Central London. 20-min drive to UEL, 1 hour to UCL by public transport. Allocated parking & resident permits available for additional guests if you have them (free for low-emission vehicles).
🍹🍝 Local spots: Cafe (2 mins), pizza place, & bar within walking distance.
👤❓Looking for a housemate I’d get along with, so similar age & interests preferred. I’m often at the gym, uni or out with friends but on the occasional chilled night in it would be nice to cook dinner together or watch a movie. Unfortunately, due to allergies, the kitchen must be fish-free, including fin fish and shellfish. I am mostly vegetarian but very happy to be flexible and keep a vegetarian/halal/kosher/etc kitchen if that would make a future housemate more comfortable.
💸👛 £300 per week inclusive of bills (assuming reasonable usage of utilities) except council tax which is £25 or free if you are a student.
Interested? Let’s chat! Move-in date negotiable but preferably end of November.
