Large Furnished Double Room Beckenham - Mon-Fri

Looking for someone to join me and my golden retriever, Biscuit, in our lovely house in Beckenham. Monday-Friday let, moving in from 20th Feb but can be flexible on dates for the right person.

Rent includes all bills (council tax, gas and electric, internet, water) and also a cleaner who visits fortnightly.

About the room:
Spacious double room that's been repainted. Comes furnished with a new double bed (decent storage space under bed), bedside drawers, wardrobe space, cupboards, and a desk and chair.

About the house:
Large open plan kitchen with all appliances including a nespresso coffee machine, air fryer, ninja blender, food processor, microwave, Kenwood, washer/dryer, dishwasher etc. Front and back yard with bbq and outdoor chairs/table (backyard is a great suntrap), cosy living room, and modern bathroom.

There is ample free off-street parking if you have a car/motorbike. A bike can be stored in the back or front yard.

The area:
Beckenham is lovely! We’re a 5-minute walk away from Beckenham Place Park, 10 minutes from the High Street which includes a Waitrose, M&S, Sainsburys, various Gyms including pure-gym and many, many coffee shops and restaurants. Transport links are great -10-minute walk to Beckenham Junction with trains to Victoria/Bromley, the tram which goes to East Croydon and Wimbledon and the southern train which goes to other parts of south London like Crystal palace/Norwood/Gypsy Hill etc. 12 minutes to New Beckenham with trains to London Bridge, Waterloo and Charing Cross, and 16 minutes walk to Beckenham Hill with the Thameslink all the way up to Kings Cross. There’s also many bus routes. The immediate area is quiet and away from busy roads.

About me:
34 Kiwi girl. I work on a hybrid basis in talent acquisition. Enjoy a glass of wine and cooking, and generally keep the place tidy. I go to the gym/run, travel a fair bit, enjoy literature, film, going to gigs, and a good glass of red. I enjoy watching a game of rugby, but have slowly gotten into football too. I have quite an active social life and am out a couple of evenings a week. I like a peaceful house and this definitely isn’t a party house…Very happy to have a gander over a glass of wine some evenings, but equally happy keeping to myself.

My golden retriever is with me 60% of the time (I share him with an ex. It's all very millennial). He’s trained not to come into the spare room but has full access to the rest of the house. Obviously this room would only suit someone who views living with a golden retriever as an advantage because he will try to steal your food, but he will definitely steal your heart.
