A sociable and friendly older lady with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for her home to give her up to 15 hours’ support each week in a mix of help and company in exchange for the low-cost accommodation. She requires the help Mon-Thurs afternoon.

She really benefits from a little practical help around the house including shopping, occasional cooking/heating up meals, taking out bins, help with tech (eg using her ipad), some light household chores/cleaning, feeding the cat, prompts and reminders plus the friendly reassurance of having someone around her home in the evenings/overnight.

In terms of giving company, the current Sharer will sometimes eat with her (when she is around), watch TV, do a puzzle and accompany on a walk or sit in the garden.

The current Sharer has been living there for well over a year, and is only leaving due to relocation for a new job. There is also female lodger (who has been arranged independently) who also lends a hand.

The accommodation on offer is a good-sized double bedroom, furnished with a double bed and its own bathroom, plus shared use of the home’s other facilities including the sitting room, kitchen and garden.

The property is conveniently located just 10 minutes’ walk from Bromley South Station, in a lovely residential development.

An ex-teacher, the lady’s interests include current affairs, politics, Radio 4, classical music hobbies and crafts. She loves going on short walks. She also has a friendly short-haired cat.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support, we are ideally looking for someone who can offer help some afternoons. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the lady’s interests.
