Spacious, quiet, bright and well insulated double bedroom with floorboards in a friendly and stylish 3 bedroom house with pleasant garden in Harrow.

AVAILABLE MONDAY-FRIDAY and occasionally by specific arrangement during the weekend: ideal for somebody having their own home and needing to have a pied-a-terre while working during week days in the area.
The tenant uses the single bed, I might have friends using the convertible sofa during the weekend.

Lot of storage space (see below).

Council tax, water, electricity, gas, high speed broadband and TV licence included.

THE HOUSE:
* Recently refurbished, well insulated and heated, very bright and quiet 3 bedroom house with fast broadband.
* Stylish open plan kitchen/living room overlooking the garden with washing machine, gas cooker, oven and grill, microwave, dishwasher, large sink, storage space for you and share of tableware & kitchenware.
* One bright bathroom with WC, bath/shower, washbasin, cupboards, linoleum, large foldable laundry rack, extractor fan, opaque blind, overlooking the garden. No vis a vis for 500 meters.
* One WC with washbasin on the ground floor.
* Wooden floor boards, excellent lighting, decorated very simply but with taste. White walls, wooden furniture.
* Tall laundry rack stored on the landing, that can be set up in any of the bedrooms..
* Large beautiful garden (6 x 25 m) with decking area, well maintained but giving a sense of wilderness thanks to the design, curtained at the back with tall trees and no vis a vis. One foldable metal table for 4-6 people and two small round marble tables.

THE AVAILABLE BEDROOM :
Large double bedroom (4. 7 x 3. 7 m) on the ground floor with:
* single bed including 2 storage drawers with pocket sprung mattress in excellent condition. This is the bed for the tenant I am looking for, who can keep their bedding from one week to another.
* convertible 2 places sofa. Can be used for guests by the lodger on specific arrangement. Otherwise used for the occasional landlady's friends visiting for the weekend.

* antique mahogany furniture with two oval glasswindows for the sole use of the landlady.
* oak bookshelves going up to the ceiling: 2 shelves available for the tenant, the top shelves are filled with the landlady's books.

All in very good condition.

ENVIRONMENT
* The house is in a quiet street 10mn walk from the Harrow city center, which has a recently refurbished pedestrian street, a lot of different shops, two malls and a gym club in Junction Road at less than 10 mn walk. The map doesn't show the pedestrian path passing under the big roundabout. The way from the station to the house avoids most of the car traffic.
* 12 minutes walk from Harrow-on-the-hill station (Metropolitan line and two 15 minutes direct Chiltern trains to Marylebone station per hour). Two buses (H18/H19 & 183) also go to the station. Harrow-on-the-Hill - Baker street with Metropolitan : 20 minutes.
* 20mn walk from Harrow & Wealdstone (Overground, Bakerloo and 15 minutes direct trains for Euston Station)
* 15 mn by bus to South Harrow (Piccadilly).
* Lots of buses including 183 and H19/H18 at top of street.
* Large Morrisons at 5 mn walk.
* Large Tesco at 15mn walk and small Tesco at 5mn.
* Excellent local greengroceries.
* Excellent greengrocery at Harrow-on-the-hill station
* Lidl at Harrow-on-the-hill station
* Harrow Commercial city centre and cinema at 10mn walk.
* Recreation ground with fitness machines at the back of the house.
*Harrow Wall Climbing Center at 7mn walk.
* Access storage in Neptune Road at 5mn walk.
* Very good restaurants and pubs at a walking distance including gastropub "The Castle" on the hill.

ABOUT ME
I am a Franco-British artist and I also teach philosophy, literature, and history.
I work a lot, rather an early bird. I am interested in people, literature, politics, cinema, history, music, gardening, rambling, swimming and the arts. I take pollution and global warming seriously.

For this quiet & bright very comfortable room, I am looking for a flatmate who is sociable but not intrusive; quiet, clean, respectful of my life and work as we will be of his/her. I am very happy to share a drink or a meal from time to time, or even often, but not looking for it if you prefer not to. In short, I am considerate and I expect my new flatmate to be the same.

The other flatmate is a young graduate Chinese who will be studying Business at the University of Westminster from January 2025.

Including the flatmate I am looking for, we will be three in the house .
