AVAILABLE FOR MOVE IN FROM 25TH Jan 2025! (but exact date is flexible) Large Double room with king size bed with private dedicated bathroom. We are a vegetarian household so would prefer only vegetarian food prepared in the kitchen.
We have another larger double ensuite room in the house on the very top penthouse floor available too for £1150 per month (single occupancy).
Open to working professionals or students - ideally mature students e. g. PHD or Masters students.
Looking for a quiet, tidy and clean person that doesn't mind chipping in to keep the shared spaces and room tidy.
A spacious room that is conveniently located just a few minutes walk to Hillingdon Underground Station and a less than 15min bus ride to Brunel University and Uxbridge town as well as other businesses and green areas. It's the perfect place to explore London from as well as to be based for longer term work/studies in the local area.
We are also a short distance away from popular places like Heathrow Airport (15mins) Uxbridge Town Centre (6mins), Denham Country Park (10mins), Colne Valley Regional Park (7mins), Ruislip Lido (lake, forest & beach-10mins), Hillingdon Hospital (8mins), GiffGaff office (9mins), Pinewood Studios (14mins) & more. It's 35mins to Baker Street in central London and 22mins to Wembley Stadium on the Tube which is less than a 10min walk away. There are plenty of Ubers/Bolt taxis available at any time within a few minutes.
THE SPACE:
A spacious double room with a king size bed and everything you need close by. There is storage space in the room itself including a desk and wardrobe and shelves and it is part of a 4 bedroom house. There is a bathroom next to the room which will be dedicated as a private bathroom for this room.
Free high-speed WiFi (average speed of 150Mb) and all bills are included including gas and electricity which means no change in bills cost.
We keep the house super tidy and clean all the time and cleaning should be shared by everyone in the communal areas on a weekly/daily basis and also your own room of course.
There is a shared garden, kitchen and utillity area, shared living room space and shared dining area.
As friendly landlords although we are 'living in' we will be likely away over for all of the time off the rental period although our schedule is fairly flexible we come and go sometimes for work.
GETTING AROUND
The house is located very conveniently for everything!
A quiet, very safe and peaceful street with lovely neighbours and local amenities. There is a local supermarket just a few minutes walk as well as lots of cafes and a well known Chinese restaurant across the road. There is also a fish and chip shop, newsagents, Greggs bakery, post office and many other shops for anything you could want. A huge variety of takeaway and delivery services are available through apps like Deliveroo or UberEats or Justeat.
The big local park is a short 8 minute walk which is wonderful on a warm day and the underground train station is also just 6 minutes walk away. There are lots of lovely green spaces and walks you can do - two of the most well known are the Hillingdon Trail and the Celedine walks both of which are accessible from the doorstep.
From Hillingdon Underground Station you can catch the Piccadilly or Metropolitan underground train lines. This makes it super easy to get in and out of central London as you need and the Metropolitan line trains are the modern ones with air con and ventilation and spacious so safe and comfortable during whatever the weather. Baker Street is only 35min on the Metropolitan train line, Kings Cross St Pancras Station is only 43mins, Bond Street station is only 41mins to name just a few.
There is a bus stop just 1 min walk away which goes to Uxbridge in 7-10mins where there is two very large shopping malls and many other restaurants and shops. Brunel University and Uxbridge college are around 15mins on the bus too. There is also the 278 bus that leaves from here and goes to Heathrow Airport in 45minutes.
The exit on to the A40 is just a 2 mins drive away giving access to the main motorways like the M25 or M4 very quickly.
Parking is available on the driveway for an extra charge so please let me know if you need that as it is bookable on a separate website.
